ITALIAN CLUB   CIRCOLO ITALIANO

Come join us “almost in Italy” all semester!

The Italian Club at NC State is open to any student enrolled in an Italian language course or to anyone who is interested in learning more about the Italian culture and language.

The Club meets throughout the Fall and Spring semesters every other week on Thursday at 12.30 in the Faculty Lounge of the 1911 Building.

The ongoing activities of the Club include engaging conversation, reading and discussion of Italian newspapers, music appreciation, and informal lectures -- all in a playful and creative Italian atmosphere.

Additional activities are sometimes organized in the late afternoon, such as the viewing and discussion of a film in Italian. The Club also plans outings to visit museums, for example, or to share the special flavors of “la cucina Italiana” during a dinner or a cooking lesson in a typical Italian kitchen.

We will also discuss opportunities to study in Italy through the Study Abroad Office (2118 Pullen Hall, Tel# 515-2087) and we will have student guest speakers who will share their experiences in Italy.

Our traditional "Cena Italiana" -- Italian dinners -- held in December and in April feature great Italian cuisine and a warm and friendly atmosphere of celebration.

Please note the starting time!*

The club’s first meeting will exceptionally be on Friday, 21 January at 8.00pm: Movie evening I vitelloni –Federico Fellini,  Museum Auditorium, North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh.. Information: http://ncartmuseum.org/events/films.shtml

You are always welcome to join us! We look forward to welcoming you to “a little bit of Italy” right here on the NCSU campus!
